Become an AYuTe Ethiopia Champion

We are challenging young entrepreneurs across Ethiopia to demonstrate that their innovations can disrupt Ethiopian farming for the better—by driving dramatic changes in smallholder farming and recasting agriculture as a promising, rewarding career for their peers.

Innovative ideas for the competition shall focus on agricultural technology with the potential to improve production, productivity, income, access to finance and/or resilience of smallholder farmers in Ethiopia.

Application Procedure

In order to participate in the AYuTe Ethiopia Challenge, all applicants need to fill out a form which requires the following information:

  • Full name
  • Living Address
  • Education level
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Personal Profile in a maximum of 100 words
  • Description of innovation idea in a maximum of 500 words
Your responses to this application form are very crucial and the panel of judges will base their evaluation on them to shortlist the top-ten applicants for the first round of innovation pitch!

Competition Stages

Shortlisting

10 AgriTech innovations will be shortlisted based on their application by a panel of expert and experienced judges.

1st Round Pitch

During the first round innovation pitch, top-five applicants will be selected.

2nd Round Pitch

The second round innovation pitch will be the final stage of the competition where youth agritech innovators with the rank of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be announced and awarded.
